Age of Empires III: Definitive Edition New DLC now available for pre-order on Microsoft Store and Steam

Age of Empires III: Definitive Edition is getting a new Downloadable Content (DLC) update called Knights of the Mediterranean. The game’s developers announced that the new DLC will add two new civilizations, 30 new random maps, nine new sub-civilizations, and two game modes. The Knights of the Mediterranean DLC requires players to spend additional Rs. 349. The DLC is available for pre-order on the Microsoft Store and Steam with a May 26 release date.

New additions in the DLC

The developers of Age of Empires III: Definitive Edition have announced the Knights of the Mediterranean DLC update and have introduced several new additions to the existing game such as: B. new civilizations, maps and game modes.

Two new additional game modes offered with the DLC are Diplomacy and Tycoon. Diplomacy allows players to switch allegiances and negotiate with other players during gameplay. Tycoon, on the other hand, focuses on building economies. In Tycoon, the player does not have to maintain an army or defend against large-scale sieges.

The new DLC features two new civilizations to compete with, the Italians and the Maltese.

With the Italian civilization, players receive a free settler for each technology, and they can research farm buildings at any age. There are also two new buildings, the Basilica (I, 200w 200c) and Lombard (I, 100w 100c).

On the other hand, Maltese civilization begins with a Grand Master. The units in this civ gain additional hit points with each delivery and gain health over time if they remain idle. There are four unique buildings on offer: Hospital (II, 100W), Commandery (II, 250W 100C), Depot (II, 50W 50C), and Fixed Gun (III, 100W 600C).

In addition to new civilizations, players also get eight new historical maps, the Italian Wars, the Eighty Years’ War, the Deluge, the Great Turkish War, the Great Northern War, the Napoleonic Wars, the Russo-Turkish Wars and the Thirty Years’ War is a purely multiplayer map.

There are also nine new European royal houses, House Bourbon, House Wittelsbach, House Oldenburg, House Hanover, House Phanar, House Jagiellon, House Vasa, House Habsburg and House Wettin.

The Knights of the Mediterranean DLC is currently available for pre-order on the Microsoft Store and steam at an additional cost of Rs. 349 over the base game and will be released later this month on May 26th. The third installment of Age of Empires: Definitive Edition was released in October 2020 and has since received four DLC updates. The base game without DLCs currently costs Rs. 529 further steam.
