Asian Airline Imminent to Launch iPhone SE 3, 5th Gen iPad Air: Report

| |

It has already been speculated that the launch of the iPhone SE 3 and the next-gen iPad Air will take place at Apple’s event on March 8th. In the latest development, a carrier is said to have hinted that both new models would indeed be part of the launch event and are close to being launched. The iPhone SE 3, which is also speculated to be called the iPhone SE (2022) or iPhone SE+ 5G, is rumored to use the same design language Apple has offered on the iPhone SE (2020) in the past. However, it is speculated that both the iPhone SE 3 and iPad Air (5th gen) will come with an A15 Bionic chip for performance gains.

Tipster Evan Blass, in association with 91Mobiles, reports that an Asian airline has announced the upcoming launch of the iPhone SE 3 and the new iPad Air. The carrier, whose exact name was not disclosed by Blass, is said to create scaffolding for product pages to showcase the new Apple devices.

The metadata for the tablet page should specifically mention the fifth generation iPad Air. This aligns with previous reports that suggested the launch of the new iPad Air at this month’s Apple event.

Apple – like all other manufacturers – informs its carrier partners of its launch plans ahead of their public announcements in order to get everything ready on time. However, the Cupertino company has a record of secrecy, although it does offer some details to its employees.

The rumor mill has long suggested the development of the iPhone SE 3, which could come with features like 5G support, improved rear camera, and the A15 Bionic SoC. Some recent reports also hinted at the arrival of the new iPad Air, which could come with both Wi-Fi and 5G options.

Alongside the iPhone and iPad Air updates, Apple is likely to unveil its new Mac devices at the March 8 event. The new Mac range could feature a redesigned MacBook Air model, which is speculated to come with an M2 chip and various design-level tweaks, including a colorful build.

Apple has yet to confirm any details about the devices it plans to unveil next week. However, the company sent out an invitation on Wednesday to announce the virtual event.
