Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) is receiving a Holi Dhamaka 1.9.0 update this month, bringing a new festive mode and two sky islands. The BGMI March Update is specially designed to celebrate the Festival of Colours. It brings the theme mode Holi Dhamaka as well as Rainbow Plaza and Camp. The latest Battlegrounds Mobile India update also features a new playground that is wider and includes an indoor shooting range. There are also improvements to improve your gaming experience.
One of the biggest changes that Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) 1.9.0 brings is the Holi Dhamaka theme mode, which you can access by tapping the arrow button on the bottom right of the Erangel and Livik maps under the maps rank Tab.
Once you enter the Holi Dhamaka theme mode, two different sky islands with different terrain features will appear on the Erangel and Livik maps. One of the Sky Islands has a pyramid reminiscent of Egypt, while the other has a wintry ice castle.
After landing on a sky island, you’ll see your character’s face turn into an emoji-like circle. It gets bigger when hit by the enemy. The head inflates to the maximum and begins to float in the air once the character is defeated. However, teammates can save the floating player by shooting the player.
Your character’s circle head also has a specific color. There are four sectors on each sky island, and Hex Shop Coins of different colors appear in each sector. If you collect the coins of the same color as your character’s face, you can collect those coins faster. You can also change face color with transformation devices on the sky island.
You can use the coins you collect on the sky island once you land on the ground.
Once the correct time is up, the sky islands will close and players on them will fall to the ground. You will also reach the bottom if you are defeated by an enemy on any of the islands. Also, you can jump from the sky island to return to the ground.
In addition to the Sky Islands, the Holi Dhamaka update brings Rainbow Plaza and Camp around Erangel. These zones include new terrains and interactive units. If you interact with one of these beings, boxes will appear.
Rainbow Square and Camp also include the bike as a new vehicle. It can make you jump higher and requires no fuel or battery. However, you can become more vulnerable to an enemy attack since you cannot use your weapons while riding a bike.
The bike in the game is a portable mountain bike that fits in your backpack and can be used at any time by taking it out.
Besides the Holi Dhamaka updates, the latest BGMI version has the new playground which is bigger. It comes with the indoor shooting range where players can practice shooting by choosing the weapon of their choice.
The Playground update also includes an exciting mini-game where you can race with your friends and drive around the tracks alone.
Krafton has also improved the Sosnovka Bridge in Battlegrounds Mobile India’s Erangel map with new detours. The bridge connecting the military base also includes a wider road and an improved bunker with new pedestrian walkways.
Random mode has also been added to both ranked and unranked matching in BGMI. This helps players choose the card they want and play with random matches.
The new BGMI version also includes improved audio quality to help players better identify the direction of footsteps and shots in Arena mode.
The Livik:Aftermath map that you can play in BGMIs Unrated Tab has also been improved. It includes simplified interior building structures and modified city zones.
As the BGMI update has just been announced, it may arrive on your device in the coming days. However, the developer has not given exact details about the rollout.
