Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) May 2022 Update is rolling out now. The update brings many new features including an official version of the Livik map, Core Circle mode and a Classic mode. BGMI developer Krafton has also announced that BGMI is celebrating its one year anniversary. On this occasion, the update also brings with it a first anniversary lobby, some in-game items, and a skin sale for players. Meanwhile, Krafton has also issued an update warning for smartphones running Android 12 OS.
According to the BGMI website, iOS devices will receive the update from 4:00 p.m. and Android phones will receive the update on May 13 from 12:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Since the update is distributed gradually, there may be a difference in the timing of downloading the update depending on the device. A Wi-Fi connection is recommended to update the game.
BGMI May 2022 Update 2.0 features
The first thing to bring to Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) May 2022 Update 2.0 is the official Livik map. The map will allow players to fight in new themed areas, get an all-terrain UTV (High-Speed 4-Wheel Seater), and allow players to upgrade their stock weapons like the AKM, M416, MK12, and M24 to XT weapons.
You must indulge in better tactics and strategies in new advanced supply zones. You will be able to load up supplies from a huge supply of crates. In addition, the official BGMI map will also feature special supplies, a brand new zipline to quickly travel from place to place, and a newly added soccer field. Players can score goals to earn more items.
The second major feature in BGMI’s May update is Core Circle mode. According to the announcement, the mode is inspired by the popular Japanese animation Evangelion and will bring new skins, rewards, and progression-based bonuses. It can be experienced in Erangel and Livik maps. Also, battles between EVA-01 (Evangelion Unit-01) and Evangelion’s 6th Angel can be seen in Erangel. According to BGMI, players can access the theme through in-game discovery events and “earn additional progression bonuses for participating after May 14.”
The third major update is in Classic mode. There is an emergency pickup feature that allows players in Erangel and Miramar to request an emergency pickup. They can later be dropped back into the middle of the game zone if they are outside of it. One of the most interesting features is probably the Revival Tower, which allows players to bring back fallen teammates.
Other features include a variety of controls-related improvements. There’s improved haptic feedback, support for sponsor match features, and the addition of the Like button to Spectator Mode.
BGMI has published an update alert for smartphones running Android 12 OS. If players get an “Unknown Error” message when entering the 2.0.0 update version for the first time, they will need to restart the device and try again. If “Error Code: 3” is displayed, tap “Try again” and players will need to download the additional resource file to access the game normally. After entering the lobby, additional resources such as maps need to be downloaded.
