EA apologizes for the “Milkshake Brain” response from the Need for Speed Twitter account

EA has apologized after the Need for Speed Twitter account branded a fan a “milkshake brain”.

The exchange followed news that players who pre-order the upcoming Need for Speed Unbound: Palace Edition will get early access three days before release.

One particular fan criticized this, sparking an argument in which the official account dubbed the fan a “milkshake brain” and told them to “cry about it, bro or buy regular price.”

The tweets have since been deleted and an apology message released.

“We admit we’ve been a bit caught up in the hype surrounding the launch and some of our recent social media responses have crossed the line. To the fans we upset, we apologize. We will do better. We’ll see you here next week,” it said.

While community managers put up with a lot of so-called fans, that edgy reaction in particular was definitely unwarranted.

Need for Speed Unbound will be released on December 2nd for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and PC.
