F1 22 – the official game for the ongoing 2022 FIA Formula One World Championship – will be released on July 1, Electronic Arts announced on Thursday. The sequel to F1 2021 lets players race in the latest season with redesigned cars, updated rules and gameplay options. Players can also check out the new Miami International Autodrome. The PC version of the game also comes with VR compatibility, but there’s no word from EA on whether F1 22 will ship with PSVR support.
in a (n Notice Posted Thursday on the official website, EA announced that F1 22 will be available on July 1st on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series S/X, Xbox One and PC via the EA App, Origin, Steam and Epic Games is published Save. Players who pre-order the F1 22 Champions Edition can access the game three days early – on June 28th.
As part of the updated F1 22 gameplay, players will be able to customize formation laps, safety car periods and pit stops. This year EA also added F1 sprint racing. Players will have access to the new 19-turn Miami International Autodrome, along with new cars and an overhauled handling model, according to EA.
Unlike previous versions – including F1 2021 – the upcoming F1 22 title will offer VR compatibility for immersive gameplay on PC via Oculus Rift and HTC Vive. As mentioned, EA is yet to reveal if the game will come with PSVR support. Meanwhile, players can also access My Team and career mode with two-player split-screen and online multiplayer, as well as a new hub called F1 Life, where they can show off supercars, clothing and accessories they’ve unlocked during gameplay.
The game can be pre-ordered for Rs. 2,999 for PCRs. 4,499 and Rs. 3,999 for PS5 and PS4 on the PlayStation Storeand Rs. 4,999 and Rs. 3,999 for the Xbox Series S/X and Xbox Onerespectively F1 22 Champions Edition costs Rs. 4,299 for PC, Rs. 5,499 for Xbox Store and Rs. 5,299 for PlayStation Store.
If you pre-order the game before May 16th, players will also get access to Miami-themed content including a livery, suit, helmet, gloves, a cap, a t-shirt and wall art designed by a local artist. Meanwhile, the F1 22 Champions Edition grants access to the game three days before the release date, along with F1 22 New Era content, an F1 Life Starter Pack, new My Team Icons and 18,000 PitCoin, according to EA.
On PC and consoles, you can get limited time access to F1 22 with EA Play subscription which costs Rs. 315 per month in India. Alternatively, you can get unlimited access to the game on PC with the EA Play Pro subscription, which is available for Rs. 999 per month in India. EA Play also offers early access.
F1 22 – now sporting the same truncated year style as EA’s other annual games following the acquisition of Codemasters – is out July 1 on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series S/X. It can be played in VR with Oculus Rift and HTC Vive.
