Google Pixel 6, Pixel 6 Pro get live captions feature, bug fixes and more with March update

Google Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro have started receiving the March 2022 software update. Google addresses some of the known bug fixes with its latest rollout, including the Wi-Fi issues affecting Google’s latest smartphones, as well as fixing other vulnerabilities. The Pixel 6 series phones will receive an update with firmware version SP2A.220305.013.A3. The latest Pixel feature brings 5G C-band support to both phones, along with a range of features including live captions for calls, night vision for Snapchat, and new widgets that show paired device battery life. Also, Recorder can transcribe Italian and Spanish languages ​​in Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro with the latest update. Google rolled out the update to the Pixel 3A and Pixel 5A earlier this month.

Interpreter mode in the new update allows Pixel 6 phone users to translate French, Italian and Spanish language videos into English, French, German, Italian, Japanese (Beta) and Spanish. New widgets that show the battery level of Pixel Buds and other Bluetooth-connected devices are another addition. In addition, earthquake warnings and a safety check countdown are displayed on the home screen. Google Assistant shortcuts are also available in French, Italian and Spanish on Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro.

The latest update will be rolled out to users in phases via an over-the-air (OTA) update. You’ll get a notification when the update hits your Google Pixel 6 or Pixel 6 Pro handset. It is recommended to update your phone while it is charged and connected to a stable Wi-Fi connection.
