The recently announced OnePlus 10T 5G has been available since August 6th, but OnePlus has been working to fix as many bugs as possible. The first software update comes shortly after, on August 10th. A week later there is now a major software update that fixes more bugs, adds optimizations and improves the camera, among other things. The OnePlus 10T is powered by the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC and has a 50MP triple rear camera setup.
OnePlus 10T 5G software update and changelog
The new OxygenOS 12.1 update is the second update for the OnePlus 10T 5G with the version number: CPH2413_11_A.06. Gadgets 360 can confirm that the same software update has arrived on its OnePlus 10T 5G review device, making the rollout of the same to users in India live.
Compared to the first software update, this one adds many more fixes and optimizations. In terms of software performance, the update improves overall stability and also optimizes the stability of background applications. Other tweaks have been made to the screen display, OTG compatibility, and the fingerprint reader’s recognition algorithm, which OnePlus claims will improve the unlocking experience.
As for the cameras, tweaks have been made to both the front and rear cameras. The portrait mode of the rear camera has been optimized, as has the shooting effect of the ultra wide-angle camera. OnePlus has also optimized the effect of the AI retouch tool on the front camera.
Aside from software stability and camera optimizations, OnePlus has also fixed the occasional issue some users encountered when using the SUPERVOOC charging adapter.
OnePlus 10T 5G specifications
The OnePlus 10T 5G was announced worldwide and in India on August 3rd and went on sale on August 6th. The phone features a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC and comes with a 160W charging adapter in the box. The phone offers three rear cameras with a 50-megapixel primary camera (with OIS), an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera and a 2-megapixel macro camera. Selfies are handled by a 16-megapixel camera.
While the OnePlus 10T 5G’s design follows the OnePlus design philosophy, the company has omitted the iconic Alert slider. OnePlus claims the Alert slider has been left out to make room for more performance-oriented components like the dual charge pumps needed for the 150W fast charging system and a larger 4,800mAh battery. However, as per a previous report, OnePlus is not done with the Alert slider and plans to bring it back to future models.
