According to a well-known tipster, OnePlus Pad has allegedly been trademarked in India, indicating the upcoming launch in the country. The tablet is said to be in the internal testing phase in India. The trademark for the tablet was registered in July last year. Apart from that, the listing does not contain any additional information. It has been hinted that the upcoming tablet is said to have started production in March in different regions of the world. OnePlus is scheduled to launch the OnePlus Pad in the first half of 2022. Earlier this year, it was also reported that the OnePlus Pad tablet will receive the Android 12L operating system, which was launched specifically for tablets and foldable smartphones.
Tipster Mukul Sharma written down via Twitter that the OnePlus Pad trademark which was “Marked for Exam” was registered in India. He also hinted that internal testing of the OnePlus Pad has already started. OnePlus’ Pad may launch in India soon.
The same tipster had hinted this March that OnePlus’ upcoming tablet was in production in various regions around the world. OnePlus Pad has been dubbed the mid-range offering from the Chinese tech giant.
Previous reports had also indicated that the launch of the OnePlus Pad is set to take place in the first half of 2022. However, the report did mention that the OnePlus Pad is not scheduled to launch alongside the OnePlus 10 smartphone range, which is also expected to be unveiled in early 2022.
Earlier this year, OnePlus Pad was advised to run Android 12L out-of-the-box. Android 12L is designed to support large screen devices. Android 12L Beta launched last December and has been optimized for tablets and foldable phones.
This marks the first time since the launch of the tablet-focused Android Honeycomb in 2012 that Google has focused on optimizing its Android apps for larger displays.
