OnePlus Pad has been advised that it is back in development. Apparently, the company wants to enter the tablet segment soon. The OnePlus Pad, which is set to debut as the first tablet offering from the Pete Lau-led Chinese tech brand, has reportedly been in the works for around a year. According to the latest leak, the OnePlus Pad will be launched next year. OnePlus has already gone beyond smartphones and launched its own line of smart TVs, wearables, and audio products like TWS (True Wire Stereo) earbuds and wireless headphones. Previous leaks had indicated that it would be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 SoC, 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage on the rumored device.

Tipster Max Jambor (@MaxJmb) hinted on Twitter that the OnePlus Pad tablet is in the works and should be out next year. It was previously reported that OnePlus’ first tablet will be launched in the first half of 2022. We can expect more details on this in the coming days.

The last time we heard about the OnePlus Pad was in July. A tipster had claimed that a tablet codenamed “OnePlus Reeves” had entered testing in India. It was tipped earlier with a price of 2,999 CNY (about 34,500 rupees).

OnePlus Pad Specs (Rumored)

In the early months of 2022, several rumors had surfaced online hinting at the imminent launch of the OnePlus Pad. It is noted that it can run on Android 12L by default. It is expected to feature a 12.4-inch Full HD+ OLED display and could be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 SoC along with 6GB of RAM.

OnePlus has the tip to pack a dual rear camera in its first tablet. The camera setup is said to include a 13-megapixel main sensor and a 5-megapixel secondary sensor. For selfies, there could be an 8-megapixel shooter on the front. The tablet could also offer 128GB of onboard storage.

The rumored OnePlus Pad is said to carry a 10,090mAh battery with support for 45W fast charging. However, OnePlus has yet to reveal any details on plans to launch a tablet.
