The Poco F4 GT is scheduled to hit the global market on April 26th. The new Poco phone will be unveiled during a virtual event that will take place on the company’s official social media channels. It is widely speculated that the Redmi K50 Gaming Edition will be renamed Poco F4 GT. The Redmi K50 Gaming Edition features a display with a 120Hz refresh rate, a triple rear camera and a 4,700mAh battery with 120W fast charging. Separately, a Xiaomi smartphone with the model number Xiaomi 21121210G appeared on the Geekbench benchmarking site. The listing is believed to have come from the Poco F4 GT. The smartphone is shown with Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC and 11GB RAM. Poco F4 GT is the successor of Poco F3 GT.
The Poco F4 GT will be started worldwide on April 26 at 8pm GMT (1:30am IST) in a virtual event streamed live on the company’s YouTube, Twitter and Facebook channels. The brand has also reportedly started sending out media invites for the launch. However, the pricing details and specifications of the upcoming phone are currently unknown.
A Xiaomi smartphone was included separately sighted on Geekbench website with model number 21121210G. The listing is believed to be from Poco F4 GT. The smartphone scored 1,235 points in the single-core test and 3,555 points in the multi-core test. The listing suggests 11GB of RAM in the upcoming device. According to the Geekbench listing, the phone also runs on Android 12. According to the listing, the phone is powered by an octa-core chipset, codenamed “Taro”. It shows a top-of-the-line CPU core with a maximum clock speed of 3.0 GHz, three cores with a maximum clock speed of 2.50 GHz, and four cores with a maximum clock speed of 1.79 GHz. All of this points to the presence of a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset on the upcoming Poco F4 GT.
As a reminder, the Redmi K50 Gaming Edition was launched in China. The price of Redmi K50 Gaming Edition starts from 3,299 CNY (about Rs. 39,000) for the base model with 8GB + 128GB storage.
Poco F4 GT and Redmi K50 Gaming Edition have identical specs when the former is actually a rebranded device.
