The Redmi Note 12 series is scheduled to debut in China on Thursday. Xiaomi sub-brand has now confirmed that one of the smartphones in the lineup will be nicknamed the Redmi Note 12 Pro+. In addition, this smartphone will get a 200-megapixel Samsung HPX main camera, which could be the ISOCELL HP3 sensor that Samsung unveiled earlier this year. This camera can record 8K video at 30 fps and 4K at 120 fps. In related news, a tipster leaked design renders of the entire Redmi Note 12 lineup.

Redmi shared a post on Tuesday on Weibo to confirm that the Redmi Note 12 Pro+ will come with a 200-megapixel Samsung HPX main camera. It went into the details of this camera, which features a 1/1.4-inch image sensor with an f/1.65 aperture. The sensor is also coated with a high-end ALD anti-reflective coating to significantly improve image quality.

This sensor has three recording modes. It can be set to 12.5 megapixels to capture images with a resolution of 4,080 x 3,060 pixels. At 50 megapixels, the Samsung HPX sensor can capture images with a resolution of 8,160 x 6,120 pixels. Finally, this sensor is capable of capturing images with a resolution of 16,320 x 12,2440 pixels at 200 megapixels.

In related news, Tipster FeniBook allegedly the design renders of the complete Redmi Note 12 series have been leaked. It appears that the tipster has since removed those images. Tipster Abhishek Yadav (@yabhishekhd) sighted these images that contain the vanilla Redmi Note 12, Redmi Note 12 Pro and Redmi Note 12 Pro+.

The leaked images reveal that the Redmi Note 12 will receive a special edition model with 210W fast charging support. Meanwhile, the Redmi Note 12 Pro will be presented with three color options and the Redmi Note 12 Pro+ may come with four color variants. All these smartphones should get a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. Moreover, FeniBook also allegedly leaked the marketing images of the Redmi Note 12 Pro+ YIBO Racing Edition – sighted by Mukul Sharma(@stufflistings).
