Xiaomi’s Redmi Note series has attracted a lot of attention lately with the launch of the Redmi Note 11 Pro in January 2022 and the launch of the Redmi Note 11 Pro+ 5G in March. Within a few weeks of the Redmi Note 11 series launch, rumors have already started drawing attention to the new Redmi Note 12 Pro series. The rumored flagship was spotted on the TENAA certification website along with key specs like model number, battery details and display features. While the Chinese smartphone maker hasn’t shared any details on the date of the expected series, the TENAA listing points to a 2022 launch in China.

The details suggested in the TENAA offers were shared through screenshots from the tipster digital chat station Weibo. The Redmi Note series with model number 22041216C is believed to be the Redmi Note 12 Pro, while model number 22041216UC is believed to be for the Redmi Note 12 Pro+. According to the listing, both devices have similar dimensions and display size.

Specifications and Features of Redmi Note 12 Pro, Redmi Note 12 Pro+ (With Tip)

The rumored Redmi Note 12 Pro series is said to come with a 6.6-inch AMOLED display with Full HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. It is recommended that both models come preinstalled with Android 12 OS, along with MIUI 13 on top. Measurements for both models are believed to be 163.64 x 74.29 x 8.8mm.

The listed Redmi Note 12 Pro model has a 4,980 mAh battery that may come with fast charging support. This may be similar to the Redmi Note 11 Pro+ 5G which has 120W fast charging. The model can be launched with two storage options: a base model with 6GB RAM + 128GB built-in storage and 8GB RAM + 256GB built-in storage.

The Redmi Note 12 Pro+ model is also expected to come with a similar storage configuration. However, the battery is suspected to be smaller than the Redmi Note 12 Pro, which packs a 4,300mAh battery.

The upcoming Redmi Note 12 series is expected to offer better performance than its predecessors, which could also indicate the use of MediaTek processors instead of Qualcomm. It has yet to be confirmed whether Xiaomi will use the Dimensity 1300 or Dimensity 8000 SoC for the upcoming Redmi Note 12 models.

Redmi Note 12 Pro, Note 12 Pro+: launch date (expected)
