The Redmi Note 12 series has a network access license in China, according to a well-known tipster. The smartphones are codenamed L16 and L16U. The latter is said to be associated with the Redmi Note 12 Pro+ 5G. The smartphones of the series are said to be equipped with powerful MediaTek SoCs – possibly MediaTek Dimensity 1300 or MediaTek Dimensity 8000 mobile platforms. The Redmi Note 12 series is a successor to the Redmi Note 11 series and is expected to be launched in the second quarter of 2022.

Tipster Digital Chat Station has divided two images on Weibo showing two Xiaomi smartphones with model numbers 22041216UC and 22041216C. He says that these phones are codenamed L16 and L16U and belong to the Redmi Note 12 series. He further claims that these phones will be powerful mid-range phones. While Digital Chat Station said the series will launch in Q2 2022, tipster Abhishek Yadav was more specific, claiming that the Redmi phones could launch in April or May.

Relying on the digital chat station MySmartPrice reports that the smartphones of the Redmi Note 12 series are powered by a powerful MediaTek Dimensity 1300 or MediaTek Dimensity 8000 SoC. The phones are also expected to have a unique industrial style, strong performance and longer battery life.

Like in old times report From Notebookcheck, the Redmi Note 12 series will have three handsets – Redmi Note 12, Redmi Note 12 Pro and Redmi Note 12 Pro+. Redmi Note 12 series is a successor of Redmi Note 11 series and aims to be Redmi’s main product line after the launch of Redmi K50 series.
