If you’ve been longing for the return of Ubisoft’s impressively enduring Rabbids ahead of their flagship appearance in Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope on Switch, you’re in luck: Ubisoft has announced that it will be bringing its previously China-exclusive game Rabbids: Adventure Party a worldwide release sometime before the end of next month.
Originally released for Switch in 2020, Rabbids: Adventure Party sent the titular annoyances back in time for some classic Chinese novel Journey to the West-inspired hijinks – and some mini-game action played with the Switch’s Joy-Con controllers .
However, there will be a number of notable changes for Rabbids: Adventure Party when it releases worldwide. For starters, according to Ubisoft’s latest earnings report, it’ll get a new name, becoming the slightly less memorable Rabbids: Party of Legends and expanding to other platforms alongside Switch – namely Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and Stadia.
Beyond that, details are limited, with Ubisoft only saying the game will get a retail and digital release sometime in the first quarter of the current fiscal year, meaning it should arrive between now and the end of June 2022.
As for the Rabbids Miscellaneous Excursion, Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope, is expected for Switch later this year. It joins a list of other Ubisoft titles due between now and next April
