Vivo Pad, Vivo Watch are being tested in India; Ready to launch Vivo X80 series: report

| |

The Vivo Pad and Vivo Watch are reportedly being tested in India, with a launch expected in late second or early third quarter of this year. The Vivo Pad is said to be the first tablet the Chinese tech giant is launching in India. However, the report doesn’t specify whether the Vivo Watch arriving in India is the same Vivo Watch 2 that launched in China last year. These devices are set to accompany the release of the Vivo X80 smartphone series, which could include the Vivo X80, Vivo X80 Pro and Vivo X80 Pro+ models.

According to a report From Pricebaba, Vivo is expected to unveil these devices following the conclusion of the 2022 Indian Premier League (IPL) season in India, which is set to conclude on May 29. As mentioned, the Vivo Pad and Vivo Watch could come to the Indian market alongside the release of the Vivo X80 series of smartphones.

Vivo Pad specifications (expected)

The Vivo Pad will be unveiled for the first time in China during the Vivo X Fold and Vivo X Note launch event on April 11. It shared the first look of the tablet. Previous reports indicate that this tablet will be powered by a Snapdragon 870 SoC. It could also pack an 8,040mAh battery. The tablet was equipped with an 11-inch 2.5K LCD screen with Dolby Vision support and a refresh rate of 120 Hz. It could have 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of onboard storage. The rear camera island on display could house a 13-megapixel + 8-megapixel dual camera setup.

Specifications of the Vivo Watch (expected)

If Vivo decides to bring the Vivo Watch 2 model released in December last year to India under the Vivo Watch name, the wearable could have a 1.43-inch always-on display with a resolution of 466 x 466 pixels. The Vivo Watch can come with 2GB of onboard storage. Its battery could provide up to seven days of backup power per charge.
