Xiaomi Civi 2 will be launched in China on September 27 at 2:00 p.m. local time (11:30 a.m. IST), the company announced today. The company also shared a marketing poster of the upcoming smartphone, revealing the back design. The Xiaomi Civi 2 has a 50MP triple rear camera with LED flash. It also appears with a patterned back panel. According to a recent report, the phone could run Android 12-based MIUI 13 out of the box. The handset will reportedly not debut in India.

This was announced by the Beijing-based smartphone brand above the Chinese microblogging site Weibo, which will launch Xiaomi Civi 2 on September 27 at 14:00 local time (23:30 IST) in China. In another post, the company shared a marketing poster of the phone showing that the Xiaomi Civi 2 will feature a 50MP triple rear camera with LED flash. It’s also seen with a wavy pattern on the back.

According to a recent report, the Android 12-based stable version of MIUI 13 is ready for the Xiaomi CIvi 2, suggesting that it could run the latest UI out of the box. The phone is not scheduled to launch in India.

However, it will reportedly be launched in other markets outside of China with either the Xiaomi 12 Lite 5G NE or the Xiaomi 13 Lite branding. The Xiaomi Civi 2 could reportedly come with a 6.55-inch AMOLED display with Full HD resolution. The handset is also said to offer “special” vlog modes for setting up the rear camera.

According to another report, the Xiaomi Civi 2 is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 SoC. It’s said to feature a micro-curved display with a 120Hz refresh rate, Dolby Vision support, and narrow bezels. The phone was previously spotted in the China 3C database with model number 2209129SC. The smartphone’s charging adapter was reportedly spotted with model number MDY-12-EF and 67W charging support.
