Xiaomi Mix Fold 2, Xiaomi Pad 5 Pro 12.4 and Xiaomi Buds 4 Pro will launch in China on August 11, the Chinese company has announced. At the event, Xiaomi CEO and founder Lei Jun is also likely to give an annual speech to share information about the company’s business. The Mix Fold 2 has been in the news a lot lately and it is recommended to be equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC as well as a 50MP main camera on the back.
Xiaomi has Posted a series of posts on the Chinese microblogging platform Weibo, which announced the launch of the Xiaomi Mix Fold 2 foldable smartphone, the Xiaomi Pad 5 Pro 12.4 tablet and the Xiaomi Buds 4 Pro True Wireless Stereo (TWS) earphones in China at a Confirm event scheduled for 7 p.m. local time (4:30 p.m. IST). In addition to announcing the launch date, Xiaomi has also teased some specifications of the foldable smartphone.
According to Xiaomi, the Mix Fold 2 will be 5.4mm thin and have a self-developed hinge. The Chinese company says the foldable smartphone will come with a micro-tear-shaped hinge, have a short width and offer a thinner, lighter experience. The smartphone will reportedly come with 6.5-inch and 8-inch touchscreen panels with a 120Hz refresh rate for the inner display and a 60Hz refresh rate for the outer display. It is said to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC and comes with a 50-megapixel Leica-branded external camera.
Meanwhile, Xiaomi launched the Mi Pad 5 Pro with 11-inch displays last year. The tablet is available in both 5G and LTE variants. The upcoming Pad 5 Pro variant will come with a 12.4-inch display.
Meanwhile a tablet with the model number Xiaomi 22081281AC, to be told a variant of the Xiaomi Pad 5 Pro sighted on Geekbench. It is powered by an octa-core SoC paired with 8GB of RAM. The processor is said to be the Qualcomm Snapdragon 870. The tablet runs Android 12 and scores 886 points in the single-core test and 3,117 points in the Geekbench 5 multi-core test.
Finally, the Xiaomi Buds 4 Pro were leaked in a video posted by tipster Mukul Sharma. According to the clip on Twitter, the TWS headphones may come in black and gold color options.
